How to make a handprint stamp using a UV lamp

5 Modules

What you will need to get started

For this course you will need:

  • A computer and a printer with good quality black ink.
  • A scanner or camera - some way to get your paper image on to your screen.
  • I am using paint. net software and MSword for these tutorials, but you can use any photo editing and word processing programs that have similar functions.
  • A UV lamp (either a stamp making lamp or a good quality nail lamp, ideally 35w or more).
Imagepac artwork negative film (or a similar product).
  • Either an Imagepac sachet or a piece of photopolymer plate (also called PPP)
  • A stamp making clamp, (or 2 pieces of clear acrylic with some bulldog clips will do)
A timer (this can be on your phone)
  • A pair of scissors
  • A soft scrubbing brush (and old toothbrush or soft nail brush will do).
  • Some warm soapy water
