Learn how to make your own hand and footprint stamps which can be used in jewellery as well as with ink for all sorts of other applications!
The course takes you from start to finish. Start with your handprint on paper, how to edit it to make it suitable for a stamp. How to get your image the perfect size and print your negative. Then there are two tutorials for making the actual stamp, one for working with imagepac gel sachets and one for working with photopolymer plates.
For this course you will need:
A computer and a printer with good quality black ink.
A scanner or camera - some way to get your paper image on to your screen.
I am using paint. net software and MSword for these tutorials, but you can use any photo editing and word processing programs that have similar functions. A UV lamp (either a stamp making lamp or a good quality nail lamp, ideally 35w or more).
Imagepac artwork negative film (or a similar product).
Either an Imagepac sachet or a piece of photopolymer plate (also called PPP)
A stamp making clamp, (or 2 pieces of clear acrylic with some bulldog clips will do)
A timer (this can be on your phone)
A pair of scissors
A soft scrubbing brush (and old toothbrush or soft nail brush will do).
Some warm soapy water
